Editorial Policy

Last updated: April 20, 2026

The Biz Vault publishes original editorial on markets, strategy, and the operators behind them, alongside a curated rail of industry headlines. This page describes how we work.

What we publish

Our original articles cover three areas: Strategy (pricing, positioning, operating decisions), Markets (retail, commercial real estate, supply chains, regional economies), and Technology (enterprise software, AI, infrastructure). We do not cover politics, personal finance, or consumer lifestyle. We will expand the scope only when we can commit to covering a beat consistently.

How we source stories

Original articles come from three sources: on-the-record conversations with operators and investors, public data (filings, leasing trackers, ad-platform reporting), and first-hand observation of categories we actively follow. Where a piece relies heavily on a single source or dataset, we say so in the article.

We do not publish rewrites of press releases as original content. A company's announcement may inform a piece of analysis, but the analysis is ours.

Fact-checking

Every original article is reviewed by a second editor before publication. Numeric claims are checked against their stated sources; direct quotes are confirmed with the speaker unless the conversation was explicitly on background.

Corrections

Mistakes happen. When we make one, we fix it in place, note the correction at the bottom of the article, and (if the error was material) update the publication date to reflect the correction. To request a correction, email us with "Correction" in the subject line.

Separation of editorial and sponsored content

The Biz Vault runs sponsored posts alongside its editorial. Sponsored content is clearly labeled as sponsored, appears in a distinct layout, and uses rel="sponsored" links per FTC and search-engine guidelines. Sponsorship has no bearing on our editorial coverage — we do not write positive stories in exchange for sponsorship dollars, and we do not pull negative stories to protect sponsor relationships.

We run display advertising via Google AdSense. Ad placement is automated by Google and does not influence which stories we publish or how we cover them.

Sources and attribution

When we cite reporting from another publication, we link to the original. When we summarize a third-party report or dataset, we name it. Industry headlines in our news rail are drawn from NewsAPI and link directly to the publisher's site.

Conflicts of interest

If the author of an article has a financial interest in a company discussed — as an employee, investor, or advisor — it is disclosed in the article. We do not accept gifts, trips, or other inducements from companies we cover.

AI use

We use AI tools for research assistance, spellcheck, and minor editing. Every original article is written, structured, and edited by a human, and a human editor is responsible for every factual claim we publish. We do not publish AI-generated articles under a human byline.
